Position Summary
The Senior Accountant plays a critical role in ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and reliability of Agen’s financial records and accounting practices. This position supports daily accounting operations, month-end close, financial reporting, internal controls, and cross-functional financial support to protect the interests of the Company, its vendors, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
Assist the Controller with the day-to-day operations of the busy finance department.
Knowledge of NetSuite
Support the management of financial operations, including month-end close processes and preparation of financial statements
Support all members of the finance department
Ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and within the appropriate accounting period
Develop, implement, and maintain strong internal controls and compliance with accounting policies and procedures
Review and post daily accounting activity for all company locations
Provide day-to-day accounting support to Sales and other internal departments
Collaborate with and support all members of the Finance team to ensure operational efficiency
Participate in and support accounting-related projects and process improvements as needed
Assist with audit preparation and respond to auditor requests
Monitor general ledger activity and perform account reconciliations
Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field required
Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience
Strong working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Experience with month-end close, financial statements, and general ledger management
Experience supporting multi-location operations preferred
Proficiency with accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
Prior experience in a high-volume or fast-paced accounting environment preferred

Physical Requirements
Ability to remain in a stationary position approximately 50% of the workday
Ability to occasionally move throughout the office to access files, communicate with team members, and attend meetings
Continuous use of standard office equipment, including computers, calculators, printers, and copiers
Ability to occasionally lift or move office supplies and equipment weighing between 5–15 pounds
