A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity: RN - PICU Job Details: • Work 12-hour night shifts with 36 hours per week schedule • 13-week assignment with weekend coverage required • Must have minimum 1 year of pediatric CICU experience as a traveler (first-time travelers not accepted) • CICU/CVPICU experience must be clearly documented in work history • Patient ratio of 1:2 for nights, days, and weekends • Float as needed to cardiac med surg floor to assist with those patients • May float between main facility and sister hospital in Overland Park, KS (approximately 12 miles southwest) • Required certifications: BLS, PALS, CCRN, ACLS (only AHA certifications accepted, RQI not accepted) • Must have both Missouri/compact license and Kansas license • Pass/fail medication/dosage test given first week requiring 100% to pass (3 attempts allowed) • Work with patient diagnoses including congenital heart defects, cardiomyopathy, arrhythmias, myo/endocarditis • Utilize special equipment including advanced monitoring lines, atriamp, art/cvp, PA, umbilical lines • Work with 24-bed unit providing CRRT, ECMO, VADs • Care for patient age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, and adolescents • Any kid-friendly color or pattern scrubs acceptable • Charting system: Epic • Free parking with permit available Facility: This pediatric healthcare facility has been named one of the best children's hospitals in America and operates as a Magnet-designated teaching hospital with Level I Trauma Center and Level IV NICU capabilities.
