Golf Course Grounds Maintenance
If you love working outdoors in a beautiful and exciting environment and are self-motivated and like working independently then the Swan Lake Resort Grounds Department may be the place for you. This can be a full time or part time seasonal position. The Grounds Department is responsible for ensuring the Resort property and golf courses are well maintained and reflect an image of outstanding quality.
Key Responsibilities
To perform this role successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Operates mowers and string trimmers.
Operates front-deck mower, spreader, top-dresser, front loader, Gator, tractor, finish mower, and greens mower.
Mow the greens, aprons, fairways, roughs, tees, and other areas.
Edges, rakes, and maintains sand bunkers.
Aerifies greens, verticuts tees and greens, spikes greens, and operates other equipment as directed.
Sets tee markers and cups on greens as directed; sands and seeds tee and drop area divots.
Occasional hand digging and heavy lifting.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Skill Requirements
Must be 16 years of age.
Must have a valid driver's license.
Exposed to outside weather conditions
Exert physical effort in lifting/transporting at least 50 pounds
Basic knowledge of safe, efficient mechanical operation of tractors, mowers, or other motorized equipment.
Ability to use hand and power tools and equipment.
May be required to work overtime occasionally.
