Coating Technician I

Reports to: Coatings Supervisor Cooperates with: Welding, Fabrication, Substrate Assembly, Shipping Primary Responsibility: Applying wash coat to the catalyst substrate. Specific Duties and Responsibilities: Apply Alumina wash coat to catalyst substrateEnsure quality specifications meet compliance standardsPerform final quality check on each elementPackage element in appropriate containerPrepare and analyze alumina 100 wash coat, bulk batch and dip tank.Demonstrate proper selection/use PPE for coating departmentProper product staging, storage, and coating preparation for CO productFirst and second wash coat dipping and data inputUnderstand and identify product quality specificationsMaterial handling and transporting of product  Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: High School DiplomaAbility to work independently and complete duties and projects with little direct supervision.Excellent verbal communication skills.Ability to produce high quality products in a timely manner.Proficient in the use of tools such as tape measure, calipers, forklifts, and cranes.Prior manufacturing exposure, chemical handling experience, quality control and quality assurance, process blending and mixing experience, ability to operate forklift (preferred, but not required)Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. individually and heavier items with team lift.Knowledge of safe workplace practices. Equal Opportunity: MIRATECH is an equal opportunity employer and supports a diverse and inclusive workforce.
