Low Voltage Helper / Cable Puller

VIP Systems is a South Florida-based Low Voltage systems integrator specializing in the design and deployment of critical technology infrastructure for luxury high-rise and large-scale residential developments. We manage the full lifecycle of complex Low Voltage scopes, including structured cabling, enterprise security, EV charging infrastructure, and motorized window treatments.
Position Overview
We are seeking a hardworking and reliable Low Voltage Helper to assist our lead technicians on active construction sites in Sarasota. This is an entry-level role focused on the physical installation of cabling and hardware. You will be responsible for the "rough-in" phase of our projects, ensuring that the backbone of the building's technology is installed correctly and efficiently.
Core Responsibilities
Cable Pulling: Pulling Cat6, Coax, and Fiber Optic cabling through conduits, cable trays, and open ceilings in commercial and high-rise environments.
Support Installation: Assist in the installation of J-hooks, bridal rings, and cable supports.
Hardware Assistance: Help mount device backboxes, security cameras, wireless access points, and smart lock hardware.
Jobsite Maintenance: Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of debris. Manage tool inventory and material staging on-site.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety standards, including the proper use of PPE, ladders, and motorized lifts (scissor/boom).
Required Qualifications
Experience: 0–2 years in construction or telecommunications. We will train the right candidate with a strong work ethic.
Physical Requirements: * Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly.
Ability to work on ladders and at heights for extended periods.
Comfortable working in active construction environments (dust, noise, heat).
Tools: Must have (or be willing to obtain) basic hand tools (screwdrivers, snips, punch-down tool, cordless drill).
Reliability: Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites in the Sarasota area.
Aptitude: Ability to follow blue-print labels and color-code standards for wiring.
Pay: Up to $20.00 per hour
