Job DescriptionJob Title: Electronics Lab Technician Working Pattern: Full-timeWorking location: West Lafayette, IN (5 days a week onsite)As Electronics Lab Technician, you will perform skilled duties in the testing, troubleshooting, repair, harness build, operate and maintain real time simulator, PCB modifications, and calibration of equipment in the Electronics Lab; maintain and repair lab equipment, and perform related work as required. You will work with controls engineers on prototyping and development activities for control systems product. They are the fundamental qualities that we seek for all roles.Basic RequirementsHigh School Diploma or GED and 3 years of electronics experience; ORAssociate degree with 2 plus years of electronics experience; ORTechnical Degree, or equivalent combination of experience and educationTo be eligible for consideration, you must be a U.S. CitizenPreferred RequirementsPerform PCB assembly, modification, and repair, including soldering of surface-mount and through-hole components.Set up and maintain lab test equipment, fixtures, and instrumentation.Familiarity with cable/harness fabrication, manual solderingExperience with IPC Electronics Manufacturing Acceptability Standards.Experience with Electro-static Discharge (ESD) protection.Experience with asset and facilities management.Problem solving techniques and Root Cause AnalysisSupport engineers in electrical and environmental testing, data collection, and documentation.Assist in prototype builds, wiring harnesses, and component evaluation.Follow engineering instructions, schematics, and technical drawings to execute test and modification tasks.Ensure adherence to ESD, safety, and quality standards in all lab operations.Contribute to the maintenance of lab inventory, organization, and process documentation.What We OfferWe offer excellent development opportunities, a competitive salary, and exceptional benefits.
