Houlton Middle High School (Grades 7-12), 26-27 School YearHoulton Middle High School is seeking a visionary, collaborative, and student-centered Building Principal to lead ourgrades 7–12 campus. If you are a passionate educator dedicated to fostering a positive school culture, driving academicexcellence, and building strong community partnerships, we want you on our leadership team.ResponsibilitiesInstructional & Staff LeadershipDrive Excellence: Oversee and elevate classroom instruction and student learning; design comprehensive programs aligned with State and National standards, along with community needs.Data-Informed: Monitor and leverage student achievement data to make strategic instructional decisions.Empower Faculty: Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate staff. Cultivate a highly collaborative work environment and champion impactful professional development.School Operations & CultureCultivate Climate: Foster an equitable, inclusive, and supportive school culture that prioritizes student and staff well-being and active engagement.Safe Operations: Allocate resources effectively, and ensure strict adherence to federal, state, and local policies.Accountability: Maintain fair and consistent student attendance and behavioral systems that align with the school's core mission.Community EngagementBuild Partnerships: Actively involve families, caregivers, and community members in school life, activities, and collaborative decision-making.Communicate Clearly: Serve as the primary ambassador for school programs, goals, and achievements.QualificationsEducation: Master’s degree in Educational Leadership or a related field.Certification: Valid Maine Administrator Certification (040).Experience: 3–5 years of successful experience as a classroom teacher.
