We have a full-time opportunity for an experienced Construction Materials Project Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented, hardworking professional to be a leader at our great company.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Minimum of 5 years of experience managing construction materials projects or related roles.Ability to read and comprehend plans and specifications, required.Experience performing ICC Special Investigations.Strong knowledge of construction materials testing methods, standards, and regulatory requirements.Small to large, complex construction and/or heavy highway projects experience.Proven experience with MS Office including Word, Excel, Outlook and OneDrive is required.Excellent communication and organizational skills.A valid drivers license with a clean driving history is required.High school diploma, or equivalent, is required.CERTIFICATIONS:ACI Concrete Field-Testing TechnicianICCNICET (Level II is preferred)EIT or PE is a plusRESPONSIBILITIES:Work with project designers and clients to ensure that client specifications are followed.Perform routine to complex inspections and testing of construction materials in the field.Review daily reports on observation activities and test data for accuracy and completeness.Track project budgets and prepare invoices.Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to source high-quality materials that meet project specifications and regulatory requirements.Prepare proposals and deliver to client.Manage schedules, budgets, and resources related to material acquisition and testing activities.Oversee quality control processes, including laboratory testing and field inspections, to ensure material compliance.Collaborate with engineering teams and contractors to address material-related challenges and optimize project outcomes.Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and industry standards throughout the material management lifecycle.Lead and mentor project team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.POSITION COMPETENCIES:The Construction Materials Project Manager utilizes strong project management skills daily to coordinate complex schedules, budgets, and teams, ensuring seamless material procurement and testing processes. Technical expertise in materials science and testing standards is essential for evaluating material quality and compliance, enabling informed decision-making and problem resolution. Effective communication skills facilitate collaboration with diverse stakeholders, including suppliers, engineers, and regulatory bodies, to align project goals and expectations. Analytical skills are applied to interpret test results and data, driving continuous improvement and innovation in material selection and usage.
