Managing Director & Head, CIBC Family Office

Act as senior relationship executive accountable for end-to-end coordination of planning, advice, and servicing for a select group of high-profile UHNW families.* Provide proactive oversight of client experience, responsiveness, issue resolution, and escalation management.* Coordinate integrated solutions across investments, credit, trust/estate, insurance (as applicable), business banking, and philanthropy/legacy planning, while ensuring clear accountability and follow-through.* Own the end-to-end engagement model (intake, discovery, delivery roadmap, documentation standards, case management, follow-ups).* Implement and continuously enhance service standards for timeliness, quality, and client experience, including for executive-referred relationships.* Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.* Suggested designations including CFP, CFA, CPA, TEP, FEA, CSC & CPH.* Extensive (10 years+) leadership experience in UHNW wealth management, private banking and/or family office (single or multi).* Demonstrated success building, scaling, and governing a complex advisory platform.* Proven capability managing a select portfolio of highly sensitive, high-profile UHNW relationships with executive visibility.* Strong knowledge of balance sheet and cash-flow planning, complex credit, investment governance, and Canadian wealth planning topics (estate, philanthropy, succession), with appropriate coordination with external tax and legal counsel.* Comfort with multi-jurisdiction considerations and heightened due diligence expectations.* Executive presence and strong facilitation skills for family governance discussions and complex stakeholder environments.* Excellent judgment, discretion, and ability to manage confidentiality and reputational sensitivity.* Strong stakeholder management across senior executives and control functions.* Strong business management: KPIs, pipeline governance, capacity planning, and continuous improvement.* Clear, concise written and verbal communication; ability to drive accountability through a matrix model.* We work to recognize you in meaningful, personalized ways including a competitive salary, incentive pay, banking benefits, a benefits program*, defined benefit pension plan*, an employee share purchase plan, a vacation offering, wellbeing support, and MomentMakers, our social, points-based recognition program.* Our spaces and technological toolkit will make it simple to bring together great minds to create innovative solutions that make a difference for our clients.* We cultivate a culture where you can express your ambition through initiatives like Purpose Day; a paid day off dedicated for you to use to invest in your growth and development.* CIBC is committed to creating an inclusive environment where all team members and clients feel like they belong.
