Job Details Insurance Defense Attorney (Rideshare / Uber) – Fully Remote (California) Position Overview We are seeking a California-licensed Insurance Defense Attorney with experience handling complex auto and bodily injury claims, specifically involving rideshare platforms (e.g., Uber/Lyft). This role is fully remote within California and offers the opportunity to manage a dynamic caseload from inception through resolution, including high-exposure matters. Key Responsibilities Independently manage a caseload of insurance defense matters involving rideshare accidents and liability claims Handle all phases of litigation, including pleadings, written discovery, depositions, motion practice, and trial preparation Analyze claims involving layered insurance coverage (personal vs. commercial/rideshare policies) Represent drivers, transportation network companies, and/or insurers in state courts throughout California Conduct legal research and draft reports, motions, and coverage evaluations Collaborate with claims adjusters, experts, and clients to develop case strategy Participate in mediations, arbitrations, and settlement negotiations Qualifications Active California Bar license in good standing 2+ years of insurance defense or personal injury litigation experience Experience with auto liability and/or rideshare (Uber/Lyft) matters strongly preferred Familiarity with California insurance regulations and coverage issues Deposition and motion practice experience required; trial experience is a plus Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment Preferred Experience Prior experience representing Transportation Network Companies (TNCs) or handling rideshare claims Understanding of Prop 22 implications and TNC insurance frameworks Experience managing high-volume caseloads and meeting billable requirements Compensation & Benefits Competitive base salary + bonus (commensurate with experience) Fully remote work within California Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with employer contribution CLE and bar dues reimbursement Why This Role Work on cutting-edge liability issues in the evolving rideshare space Autonomy to manage your caseload remotely while collaborating with a supportive team Opportunity to handle complex, high-value cases with national exposure Interested in hearing more?
