Role SummaryThe Quality Control & Issue Management Specialist supports Dee Veterinary Products by documenting, investigating, and tracking product‐related issues using the company’s issue‐tracking system. The role blends hands‐on inspection work with structured problem‐solving, customer and supplier interaction, and cross‐functional collaboration. The specialist helps evaluate product performance, ensures accurate complaint documentation, and contributes to corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs). The position requires strong attention to detail and the ability to communicate emerging issues to management and cross‐functional teams.Key Responsibilities• Document complaints, nonconformances, CAPAs, and other quality events in the issue‐tracking system with accuracy and completeness.• Perform incoming, in‐process, and final inspections of veterinary products and verify conformance to specifications.• Gather detailed information from customers and internal teams to support complaint investigations and troubleshooting.• Communicate professionally with customers to clarify complaint details and provide follow‐up.• Assist in preliminary root‐cause analysis and collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams on CAPA development.• Summarize trends, recurring issues, and inspection results to support quality metrics and management review.• Follow internal procedures, regulatory expectations, and good documentation practices.• Interact with suppliers to initiate, track, and close Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs), ensuring timely response and adequate corrective actions.• Communicate emerging issues, risks, or trends to management and cross‐functional team members clearly and promptly.• Support change management activities by documenting, reviewing, and communicating changes that impact product quality or processes.Minimum Qualifications• Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field).• 3–5 years of experience working in quality systems, laboratory environments, or regulated industries (e.g., medical devices, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, veterinary products).• Ability to read and interpret technical documents, specifications, and test procedures.• Strong written communication skills for accurate documentation.• Experience with complaint handling, CAPA processes, or ISO‐based quality systems.• Familiarity with issue‐tracking or quality management software.• Prior customer‐facing experience in technical support, laboratory work, or product troubleshooting.• Understanding of root‐cause analysis tools such as 5 Whys or fishbone diagrams.• Experience interacting with suppliers on quality issues, including SCAR management.• Experience with change management processes in a regulated or quality‐driven environment.• Demonstrated attention to detail, meticulous recordkeeping, and the ability to communicate issues effectively to management and cross‐functional teamsPersonal Skills & Competencies• Detail‐oriented mindset for accurate documentation and inspection work.• Analytical thinking to support investigations and identify patterns.• Clear, professional communication skills for customer, supplier, and internal team interaction.• Professionalism and empathy when handling customer complaints.• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple open issues and maintain structured, compliant records.• Technical curiosity and willingness to learn product functionality and failure modes.• Ability to work collaboratively with quality, engineering, manufacturing, and customer service teams.• Adaptability in a role that may evolve as the company evaluates market needs.Company DescriptionWe are a well-established brand and private label supplier of quality veterinary products working with some of the industry’s largest distributors.
