Eligibility Worker
RSR is seeking an Eligibility Worker for the Economic Assistance Department located in either Forman, North Dakota, or Lisbon, North Dakota office.RSR Human Service Zone partners with the Department of Health and Human Services to deliver exceptional Economic Assistance programs to our community. The Economic Assistance Team provides the assessment and eligibility determination of applicants for a variety of programs by interpreting and applying complex state, federal, and county policies.Eligibility Worker Example Of DutiesConduct interviews of applicants and recipientsProcess client applications, as applicableEstablish electronic recordAttend training and workshopsPerform defined case changes, workflow functions, and/or determinationsInterpret state, federal, and county policiesMonitor program and policy updatesMaintain working knowledge of laws, rules, policies, procedures, and other regulationsTo succeed in this position, you must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong teamwork and collaboration abilities, and the capacity to make effective decisions in a dynamic and evolving environment with diverse populations. You will also need to be comfortable working with all types of software and database applications, with a willingness to learn new technology programs. Additionally, you will need to have a strong understanding of complex program policies and procedures.Working For RSR Human Service ZoneRSR Human Service Zone partners with the Department of Health and Human Services and Richland County to deliver state-driven public assistance and program protocols and provides employees with the excellent benefits and employment packages offered by Richland County as a Richland County employee.RSR Human Service Zone team members are offered robust medical, dental and life insurance coverage, as well as an excellent retirement package.Employees enjoy ten paid holidays, as well as earning both annual leave and sick leave days.Minimum QualificationsEligibility Worker I:Requires the minimum qualifications listed below for the Eligibility Worker Technician level, plus one year of work experience involving duties directly related to determining eligibility for human services economic assistance programs such as Temporary Assistance for Needy Families, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, Foster Care, Medicaid, Low Income Home Energy Program, or completion of the eligibility worker two-year associate degree program.Eligibility Worker TechnicianIf unable to fill as an Eligibility Worker I, we will consider filling as an Eligibility Worker Technician underfill which requires a high school diploma or equivalent and one of the following:Completion of the eligibility worker one-year certificate programCompletion of 90 semester hours or 135 quarter hours of a bachelor's degree programThree years of work experience involving processing of claims, loans, financial eligibility benefits, credit reviews, abstracts, taxes, housing assistance, or work experience in the clerical, accounting, bookkeeping, legal, financial, business, teaching, investments, financial planning, or computer/data processing fieldsThree years of any combination of education and experience listed aboveSalary will be adjusted if the position is filled with an underfill.Must maintain valid driver's license and auto insurance.Some travel throughout a four county area could occur.About Team ND"Far and away the best prize life offers is the chance to work hard at work worth doing." - Theodore RooseveltApplication Procedures Your resume should include information to demonstrate how you meet the minimum qualifications as posted.
