Job Description: Full Stack Engineer (AI-Assisted Development) Company Overview: NextAmp LLC is a digital modernization services company focused on transforming the insurance industry. Our solutions streamline key operational areas such as claims processing, underwriting, billing, and back-office operations.  Position: Full Stack Engineer Location: USA, Remote Experience level: 4+ years Job Overview: We are seeking a Full Stack Engineer with strong front-end development skills to guide our clients through their digital journeys and support innovative new products. This position uniquely combines traditional full-stack responsibilities with a strong requirement for an "AI development mindset," leveraging AI tools heavily to drive specification development, design, and coding velocity.Roles and Responsibility:  Build and maintain customer-facing web applications using Next.js, React, TypeScript/JavaScript, Material UI, Contentful, and Jest Translate UI designs and UX documentation into clear requirement documents and user stories, using AI to accelerate the first pass and your own expertise to refine and complete them Structure and manage delivery in Jira, converting specs into well-formed story cards Implement front-end and back-end features with strong unit-test coverage and clean integration across components Write scalable, maintainable, defect-free code that meets business needs and team standards Support functional and system-integration testing Collaborate closely with product owners, designers, and fellow engineers in an Agile/Scrum environment Maintain clear documentation, plan your work, and flag risks to scope, schedule, or budget early Work within and contribute to the existing CI/CD pipeline Requirements: Bachelor's or master's in a technical field, or equivalent hands-on experience 4+ years of professional software development experience with 4+ years building responsive single-page applications with JavaScript/TypeScript, CSS, React, and with Next.js 4+ years building and maintaining backend APIs with Node.js Experience with content management systems such as Contentful for dynamic web content Solid experience writing unit tests with Jest for JavaScript/TypeScript Comfort with dependency managers (NPM or Yarn) and Git-based source control (GitHub or Azure Repos) Strong grasp of client-side vs. server-side rendering trade-offs Awareness of security and privacy considerations for customer-facing applications handling sensitive data Fluency with AI-assisted, spec-driven development (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar) — central to this role, not a bonus Strong ownership, communication, and collaboration, with a track record of leading features end to end. Nice to Have: Experience with microservices architecture and 12-factor application principles Cloud experience, ideally Azure Familiarity with modern insurance or policy administration platforms A background shipping self-serve, customer-facing products in a regulated domain  Benefits: Competitive salary and flexible work schedule Work from Home opportunity. Professional development opportunities and training. Collaborative and inclusive work culture. Exciting projects in a rapidly growing industry  Working Hours: This is a remote position requiring flexibility to work EST/CST Hours.
