Job Description Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years NICU RN experience required. This contract position offers the opportunity to work within a Level 4 NICU, renowned for its comprehensive neonatal services and advanced technology, alongside a supportive multidisciplinary team.Schedule/Hours:Shifts may include days or nights, with a collaborative staffing model of 6-12 professionals per shiftAt least 4 weekend shifts are required within every 4-week scheduleQualifications/Skills:RN license with 6 months to 1 year of experience in a Level 3 or Level 4 NICU or PICUTexas RCP license, CRT or RRT certificationBLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS certificationsFamiliarity working with neonatal respiratory equipment such as Servo U ventilators, Avea Ventilators, V60 noninvasive devices, and HFNC systemsProficiency with EMR systems, especially MeditechPreferred candidates possess experience with procedures like nebulizer therapy, airway clearance, BiPAP, ventilator management, HFNC, bronch assist, and ABGsRole Responsibilities:Deliver direct, evidence-based care to critically ill neonatal patients while maintaining safe patient ratiosPerform essential respiratory and nursing procedures including airway clearance, ventilator management, CPAP/BiPAP therapy, ABG draws, and moreCollaborate closely with physicians and other care team members, ensuring continuity of care across the unit and, when needed, within floating assignments to adult populationsAdapt to high-acuity situations and evolving unit needs, maintaining a positive, team-oriented attitudeAdditional Details:Dress code: olive/sage scrub top and black scrub bottoms (all black attire is allowed)Voluntary option to float to adult respiratory therapy as neededThis is an excellent opportunity for compassionate RNs who thrive in multifaceted environments and have a passion for neonatal and pediatric care.
