Per Diem Retail Staff Pharmacist - Mesa, AZ
A retail pharmacy seeks experienced per diem pharmacists to join a growing team supporting multiple store locations in the greater Phoenix, AZ area. This opportunity offers flexible scheduling and the chance to gain valuable training ahead of peak periods such as graduation, summer vacations, and the holidays.Location:Mesa, AZ, with most stores within a commutable distance of Phoenix. Some travel may be required.Schedule/Hours:Monday through Saturday, typically 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. (some stores may close at 8:00 p.m.) Per diem shifts with no guaranteed hours; ideal candidates are available 2-4 days per week to cover absences and volume spikes.Key Responsibilities:Provide accurate and timely pharmaceutical care in a retail setting. Collaborate with strong technician support teams; be prepared to manage smaller "pharmacist-only" sites. Complete initial and ongoing training to maintain readiness for various locations and scenarios. Utilize QS1 pharmacy management software. Administer immunizations as authorized.Qualifications / Desired Experience:Minimum 1-2 years of retail pharmacy experience required; 5+ years preferred for top compensation. Immunization privileges and current BLS certification required. Prior experience with QS1 software is a plus. Ability to train and quickly adapt to different pharmacy environments.Benefits & Perks:Comprehensive training including an initial 8-hour shift exclusively devoted to training (non-billable). Mileage reimbursement for commutes over 30 miles and travel reimbursement for distances exceeding 75 miles, including meals and lodging as needed.
