All Acute Care Adult Specialty units offer enhanced technology to assist with nursing care, including patient lifts, hands-free communication, virtual whiteboards, and telemetry monitoring capability. Primary Patient Population:Variety of complex medical disordersTelemetry Primary skills utilized/learned:IV placement, blood draws, foley catheter insertion/removalTracheostomy care, NG placement, PEG tube, various drains, wound careTime management, critical thinking, delegating Personnel RN will work with: LPNs, Patient Care Nursing Assistants (PCNAs), Nurse Interns, Providers, PT/OT, WOCN Number of beds on unit: 34 beds (14 private rooms, 10 semi-private rooms) Awards or Recognitions the unit has received: Multiple Daisy Award Winners!!!!
