Risk Adjustment Coding Auditor (Remote) nLocation: 100% Remote (Approved U.S. States Only) nEmployment Type: Contract (5 Months) nSchedule: First Shift nOverview nWe are seeking experienced Risk Adjustment Coding Auditors to support a growing healthcare organization during a high-volume operational period. This role is ideal for professionals with deep expertise in HCC coding, risk adjustment auditing, and regulatory compliance who thrive in a production-driven environment. nThis position offers the opportunity to work remotely while contributing to the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of risk adjustment programs that support quality healthcare outcomes and reimbursement processes. nKey Responsibilities nnnAudit risk adjustment codes for accuracy, consistency, and compliance with coding guidelines and best practices n nnPerform retrospective and prospective medical record reviews n nnValidate diagnosis coding based on provider documentation and CMS-HCC requirements n nnIdentify coding and documentation gaps that impact risk adjustment reporting n nnEnsure compliance with HIPAA, privacy, security, and regulatory requirements n nnProvide written and verbal feedback regarding coding errors, trends, and improvement opportunities n nnSupport audit initiatives, production goals, and special projects n nnAct as a subject matter expert on risk adjustment coding and audit practices n nnComplete audit deliverables within established timelines and quality standards n n nRequired Qualifications nnn7+ years of relevant professional experience n nn5+ years of HCC coding experience utilizing inpatient and outpatient coding guidelines n nn5+ years of Risk Adjustment audit experience n nn1+ year working in a production-based environment n nnCRC (Certified Risk Adjustment Coder) certification in good standing n nnWorking knowledge of Medicare, ACA Commercial, and Medicaid risk adjustment models n nnExperience communicating coding findings and audit outcomes to stakeholders n nnIntermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) n nnStrong analytical, organizational, and critical thinking skills n nnHigh School Diploma or equivalent n nnAuthorized to work in the United States without sponsorship n n nPreferred Qualifications nnnBachelor's Degree n nnRHIT or RHIA certification with strong risk adjustment coding experience n nnHEDIS and/or STARS experience n nnProvider education experience n nnRADV audit experience n nnCPMA or additional coding certifications n nnExperience with NLP software platforms n n nPreferred Skills nnnRisk Adjustment n nnHCC Coding n nnMedical Coding Audits n nnHealthcare Compliance n nnMedicare Risk Adjustment n nnDocumentation Review n nnCMS-HCC Methodology n nnClinical Documentation Improvement n n nWork Environment nnnFully remote position n nnFirst shift schedule n nnCollaborative healthcare-focused team environment n nnPotential for future extension or conversion based on business needs and performance n n nEligible States nArizona, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nevada, New Hampshire, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, and Wisconsin. nInterested candidates should have a strong background in risk adjustment auditing, HCC coding, and healthcare compliance, along with an active CRC certification. n#centralpriority26 nJob Type & Location nThis is a Contract position based out of St Paul, MN. nPay and Benefits nThe pay range for this position is $32.00 - $37.00/hr. nEligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
