1st Shift Warehouse Supervisor

Company: DIY Group is searching for a skilled warehouse 1st shift supervisor to be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the warehouse in Yorktown. We are looking for a goal oriented, trustworthy, and responsible individual with previous warehouse supervision experience. This is a full-time position (minimum of 40 hours per week). The hours of this position are 7:00-3:30 , Monday – Friday, must have the ability to work overtime when needed. Duties and Responsibilities Basic operations management Implements company shipping and receiving practice to assure effective and efficient operations Provides direct supervision to warehouse personnel Reviews daily work load and ensures that all productivity requirements are met Drafts and submits reports and records to management Works with management and human resources to resolve employee relation issues, discipline actions, and problem resolution Ensures the safe, clean, and efficient operations of the warehouse to meet standards Supports all safety programs and OSHA compliance to ensure a safe work environment for all employees Supervise daily warehouse activities including stocking, order picking, packing, and shipping & receiving to meet operational goals Oversee the use of RF scanners for order fulfillment and inventory updates, ensuring precise stock movement and data integrity Loading and unloading shipments Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (required) At least 1-5 years in a warehouse supervision position (required) Prior forklift experience and the ability to pass a forklift certification class (required) Above average computer skills and ability to learn new software quickly Basic Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.) Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work overtime when needed Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines effectively Ability to handle changing priorities and use good judgment in stressful situations Working knowledge of OSHA regulations in the warehouse setting Excellent analytical and mathematical skills Able to work individually or with a team Must be self-motivated and have excellent time management skills Must have excellent attention to details Must have excellent communication Must have previous shipping and receiving experience Benefits: Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Vision insurance People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply Pay: From $20.00 per hour Benefits: Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Vision insurance People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply Work Location: In person
