Job Details:Hours: 2nd shift: 2:30/4:30pm – 11:00pm/1:00am Pay range: $16.15-20.85 (attendance bonus from $1.50-$2.50/hr depending on position) SUMMARY: The General Production Team Members support the Smart Chicken poultry processing operations by performing a variety of production and labor functions as assigned. Team members will be placed in the position they chose at the time of hiring and may be rotated across multiple areas of the facility based on operational needs, staffing requirements, and business demand. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES:Team members in this position may be required to perform one or more of the following duties, including but not limited to:Hanging live birdsHandling and processing inedible materials in accordance with food safety and environmental standardsTrimming product to ensure proper quality standards are metRehanger labor to ensure proper product flowSorting duties, ensuring product meets FPS standardsWhole bird processing and specialty handlingProduction flex assignments, rotating between positions as needed to support production requirementsAdherence to all food safety, quality, animal welfare, and workplace safety policiesCleaning and sanitizing work areas, tools, and equipment as requiredWork Environment and Physical Requirements: Manufacturing environment with exposure to humid or warm temperatures, cold temperatures, wet conditions, and poultry products. (below 40°F)Standing and walking for extended periods of timeRepetitive motions and frequent use of hands and armsLifting, pushing, pulling, and handling product as required by the positionWilling and able to lift/carry up to 45 lbsUse of knives or cutting tools in designated roles, following all safety proceduresOther Physical Requirements:Bending and stoopingOccasional Squat, reach above shoulder (up to 2 ft.), crouch, kneel, balance, (Occasionally)Climb height: Occasionally (5 – 10 ft.)
