Job Title: Interim Part-Time Maintenance / Janitorial / HandymanLocation: Ivy AcademyPosition Type: Interim, Part-Time (20-30 hours per week)Schedule: Flexible hours based on school needsPosition OverviewIvy Academy is seeking a dependable, hardworking seasonal maintenance and janitorial team member to support the daily upkeep and appearance of our 6-12 school campus. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in maintaining clean and safe environments, and can tackle a variety of practical tasks. Hours are flexible, and we are committed to working with the right candidate to meet both school needs and the needs of our newest team member. The position is interim but may have the opportunity for permanent/full-time starting in October.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate a zero-turn mower to maintain school groundsPerform pressure washing of sidewalks, buildings, and outdoor areasComplete minor repairs and handyman tasks (e.g., fixing fixtures, tightening hardware, small repairs)Conduct routine janitorial duties, including cleaning common areas and responding to occasional messesAssist with general campus cleanup and maintenance projectsSupport staff with facility-related needs as they ariseHelp maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming school environmentQualificationsExperience with zero-turn mowers preferredBasic handyman or maintenance skills requiredAbility to operate pressure washers and common maintenance toolsReliable, punctual, and able to work independentlyComfortable performing physical work, including lifting, bending, climbing a ladder, and working outdoorsPositive attitude and willingness to help where neededPrior school or facilities experience is a plus but not requiredWhat We OfferFlexible scheduling to support work-life balanceA supportive and appreciative school environmentOpportunity to make a visible impact on a growing school communityCompetitive hourly pay (based on experience)
