Software Engineer IILocation: Urbandale, IA (Onsite initially, with potential to transition remote based on performance)Compensation: Up to $62/hr W2 + medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) benefitsJoin a team developing cloud-based weather data acquisition, processing, and analytics solutions. This role focuses on building scalable backend systems and data pipelines that support large-scale weather datasets while working closely with product teams, data scientists, and end users.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain cloud-native applications using Python and AWS services.Design and enhance backend systems, REST APIs, and data processing workflows.Build and support scalable data pipelines for large-volume datasets.Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.Develop containerized solutions using Docker and cloud technologies.Support CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, alerting, and production operations.Collaborate with product managers, stakeholders, and data scientists to deliver new features and improvements.Troubleshoot production issues and optimize system performance and cloud costs.Preferred Skills:Strong Python development experience in production environments.AWS experience including Lambda, S3, IAM, and related cloud services.Experience with big data processing and distributed systems.Knowledge of Databricks, Spark/PySpark, SQL, PostgreSQL, and data engineering concepts.Experience with Terraform, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring tools.Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.#INDOEM
