Physician Assistant
SpineSearch is working with a well-established and growing neurosurgery practice is seeking a motivated Physician Assistant to join its collaborative clinical team. The group currently consists of two PAs and one NP and is expanding to support increasing surgical volume and inpatient demand. Preference is given to Physician Assistants; however, Nurse Practitioners with RNFA certification will be considered.
Position Overview:
This is a primarily surgical and inpatient-based role with a strong emphasis on operating room assistance and hospital rounding. The position offers a structured schedule with a four-day work week (10-hour shifts), typically from 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with many days ending earlier depending on case flow. There are no night shifts and no call responsibilities.
Clinical Responsibilities:
First assist in neurosurgical procedures
Perform inpatient rounding and patient management
Collaborate closely with surgeons and clinical staff across multiple facilities
Minimal outpatient clinic responsibilities
Schedule:
4 days per week, 10-hour shifts
No nights or call
Weekend rounding approximately 1 weekend per month
Additional weekend coverage once every three months
Qualifications:
Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) preferred
Nurse Practitioners must have RNFA certification
3–5 years of experience in neurosurgery, general surgery, or trauma preferred
Strong interest in surgical and inpatient care environments
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting
