*PROGRAM ACTIVITIES COORDINATOR - WINDHAM HUMAN SERVICES DEPARTMENT (SENIOR CENTER) * Willimantic, CT The Town of Windham seeks qualified applicants for the position of Program Activities Coordinator.  This is a full-time position (40 hrs/wk @ $24.00/hr).  Working as a team, the Program Activities Coordinators are responsible for developing and implementing all of the Senior Center’s social activities and programs with the goal of promoting social engagement and life enhancement for older adults within the community.  Program Activity Coordinators must enjoy working with older adults and their families.  Responsibilities include managing an extensive activity calendar of events and recruiting instructors, entertainers, and speakers for the Senior Center’s activities, programs, and special events.  Must be able to work independently and self-sufficiently, as well as work with a team to ensure Senior Center and Human Services goals are met. Must possess a Bachelor's Degree from a recognized college or university in Social Services, Human Services, or a related field; plus two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in designing, promoting, and implementing programs geared to the senior population; or in lieu thereof, an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training that provides the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the essential functions of the position. Will be required to secure and maintain a valid Connecticut Motor Vehicle Operator's License with Endorsement “F” (required for operating a taxi, livery vehicle, service bus, motor bus, or motor coach). Bilingual (English and Spanish), preferred.
