Production Supervisor

Our scope spans Engineering, prototype builds, through full production, requiring teams that can move fast, adapt, and execute with precision.GTI Values: Safey I Quality I Customer Obsession I Speed I AgilityPosition OverviewGTI is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead daily manufacturing operations and support production execution across fabrication, assembly, and integration activities. This role is responsible for driving safety, quality, schedule attainment, workforce accountability, and operational efficiency within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.The ideal candidate will have experience supervising production teams within industrial manufacturing, fabrication, or modular assembly operations and possess a hands-on leadership style focused on execution, accountability, and continuous improvement.Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Leadership & ExecutionLead daily production operations to ensure safety, quality, and production targets are consistently achievedSupervise and coordinate production employees across assigned areas, shifts, or value streamsCommunicate daily, weekly, and monthly production goals to team members and ensure accountability to performance expectationsMonitor workflow, labor utilization, and production schedules to maximize throughput and efficiencyEnsure proper staffing, resource allocation, and shift coordination to support operational demandsDrive schedule execution while maintaining adherence to quality and delivery requirementsSafety & QualityEnforce all company safety procedures, policies, and environmental standards across the manufacturing floorPromote a strong safety culture through daily engagement, accountability, and proactive hazard identificationEnsure compliance with quality standards, work instructions, and manufacturing proceduresPartner with Quality and Engineering teams to resolve production issues and drive corrective actionsSupport root cause analysis, continuous improvement activities, and implementation of preventative measuresTeam Leadership & DevelopmentLead, coach, and develop production employees, team leads, and operatorsFoster a positive, accountable, and high-performance culture focused on teamwork and executionTrain and mentor employees on safety, quality, standard work, and manufacturing best practicesConduct performance feedback discussions and support employee development initiativesPromote organizational structure and clear communication across the production floorOperational Excellence & Continuous ImprovementIdentify opportunities to improve production efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize workflowSupport Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives across operationsMonitor production metrics including throughput, downtime, labor efficiency, and schedule attainmentCollaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and Operations teams to improve manufacturing performanceAssist with implementation of process improvements, layout optimization, and standardized work practicesResponsibilitiesRequired Qualifications3+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, production, or industrial operations environmentExperience supervising production teams in fast-paced manufacturing operationsStrong understanding of manufacturing processes, workflow management, and production schedulingHands-on leadership style with the ability to drive accountability and floor executionExperience with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, continuous improvement, or operational excellence initiatives preferredStrong problem-solving and decision-making skills in a production environmentExcellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to work cross-functionallyAbility to read and interpret production documentation, work instructions, and manufacturing drawings preferredFamiliarity with ERP/MRP systems and manufacturing software preferredCommitment to safety, quality, and operational excellencePreferred QualificationsHigh-mix, low-volume manufacturingModular fabrication or industrial assemblyStructural steel fabrication or welding operationsElectrical integration or industrial equipment manufacturingContract manufacturing environmentsData center, energy, defense, or heavy industrial manufacturingGTI offers a competitive compensation and benefits package designed to support employees and their families while providing long-term career growth opportunities within a fast-growing manufacturing organization.
