IT Support Specialist
Segal McCambridge is seeking an experienced IT Support Specialist to provide high-quality technical support to attorneys and professional staff in a modern Microsoft-based legal technology environment. This role is primarily remote, with one day per week in our Chicago office (or as needed) and is ideal for a technical professional who thrives in a fast-paced legal environment and enjoys solving complex user support challenges.This position supports users across multiple time zones and requires a consistent schedule of 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM Central Time to provide coverage for later business hours and West Coast offices.If you are passionate about technology, enjoy helping people, and want to work with modern Microsoft cloud technologies in a collaborative national law firm, we encourage you to apply.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide responsive desktop, application, mobile device, and remote-user supportSupport users in an Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environment, including: Session and profile issues; Printing and connectivity troubleshooting; Performance supportTroubleshoot and support: Microsoft 365; Outlook; Teams and Teams Phone; OneDrive; Office applications; Legal-specific add-ins.Support NetDocuments and other legal applicationsAssist with Intune-managed devices, endpoint enrollment, compliance, and remote supportTroubleshoot Teams telephony issues, including: Calling; Voicemail; Call queues; User configuration.Document all work thoroughly in the ticketing system and follow issues through resolutionEscalate infrastructure, security, and application issues when appropriateProvide occasional hands-on support for: Office hardware; Conference room technology; Phones; Printers; Network-connected devicesAssist with onboarding, offboarding, MFA setup, access changes, and end-user trainingPreferred Qualifications3-5+ years of help desk, desktop support, or IT support experienceStrong experience supporting: Windows 10/11; Microsoft 365 environmentsExperience with: Azure Virtual Desktop; FSLogix; Intune; Entra ID / Azure AD; Microsoft Teams and Teams PhoneFamiliarity with NetDocuments or other legal document management systemsBasic PowerShell scripting and troubleshooting experienceUnderstanding of: MFA; Microsoft Defender; Endpoint security; Conditional access conceptsLegal industry experience strongly preferredExcellent customer service, communication, and documentation skillsAbility to remain patient, professional, and organized in a fast-paced support environmentWork Environment & Physical RequirementsPrimarily remote role with one day per week in the Chicago office (or as needed)Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 50 poundsOccasional hands-on office support may be requiredSalary Range: $70,000–$85,000, commensurate with experienceBenefits401(k) with company matchHealth insuranceDental insuranceVision insuranceHealth Savings Account (HSA)Flexible Spending Account (FSA)Life insuranceEmployee Assistance ProgramPaid time offParental leaveEmployee discountsAbout the FirmSegal McCambridge has built a reputation as a national law firm of accomplished trial attorneys for nearly four decades.
