This is an exciting opportunity to join the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Supply Chain Finance team supporting ACL - Forward Logistics Team.The AWS Supply Chain Finance organization is a global, fast paced, dynamic team, partnering with the business teams delivering AWS computing capacity. We look across AWS Supply Chain processes and contracts, evaluating risks that could harm our stakeholders, the company, or prevent us from achieving objectives. To do this, we need exceptionally talented, bright, and driven people.We are seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst to join our finance organization supporting the AWS Infrastructure Services - Supply Chain Finance team. You should be passionate about producing financial analysis enabling management to make breakthrough decisions, drive cash flow, and ultimately delight our customers. You should be comfortable with working with ambiguity, diving deep into detail, and be able to communicate the story behind the numbers. Key job responsibilitiesResponsibilities will include but not limited to:Perform monthly/quarterly/annual forecasting processes for spares expendituresPartner with AWS Infrastructure FP&A and business partners to create descriptive and prescriptive analysis Work cross-functionally with business partners and various finance teams on strategic initiatives requiring NPV analyses and monthly reporting on financial statusDevelop metrics and reports to provide visibility into cost structure and drive actionable goalsDevelop business cases for ad-hoc projects and present recommendations to AWS senior management.Key job responsibilitiesPerform monthly/quarterly/annual forecasting processes for spares expendituresPartner with AWS Infrastructure FP&A and business partners to create descriptive and prescriptive analysisWork cross-functionally with business partners and various finance teams on strategic initiatives requiring NPV analyses and monthly reporting on financial statusDevelop metrics and reports to provide visibility into cost structure and drive actionable goalsDevelop business cases for ad-hoc projects and present recommendations to AWS senior management.Identify issues and remediation processes to address the root cause of the problemsBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:- 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science), or Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experiencePREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:- 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience- MBA, or CPA- Knowledge of Tableau- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)- 4+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience- 4+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience- 4+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience- Six Sigma Black Belt- Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence- Experience as a lean sensei, or experience working as a Quality Assurance EngineerAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
