Store Associate

*About Us* Hidden Treasures was founded in 2009 with the Mission of creating work opportunities and on the job training for those with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Working closely with Care-Rite Vocational, we strive to create work opportunities for the disabled community to help them achieve greater independence in their life. We are a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that is looking to grow our team. We are looking for friendly, outgoing employees who are dedicated to helping the local community and can be a friendly face for our customers. We are looking to add to our team and are seeking a Part-Time Store Associate that can assist in all functions of the store, from accepting donated goods from community members, assisting customers, stocking inventory, and occasionally driving our U-Haul to pick up donated goods in the community. *The position will be 2-3 days a week and candidates will need to be available to work Saturdays.* *Essential Job Functions * This role does require frequent lifting and moving of heavy items on a regular basis. Other duties of the position are the following: * Provide excellent customer service in finding the goods that customers are shopping for. * Ensure that all customers feel welcome in the store. * Accept donated goods from community members and provide donation receipts when needed. * Sort donated goods to be brought onto the sales floor. * Drive company vehicle (U-Haul) to pick up donated goods from community members. * Work the cashier register when directed by the Store Manager. * Prepare the store for opening by staging products as directed by the Store Manager. * Stocking sales floor with new inventory. * Prepare the store for closing by storing products as directed by the Store Manager. * Ensure that the sales floor is maintained in an orderly, presentable fashion. * Support the disabled employees and volunteers. *Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities* * Knowledge of stores policies and procedures. * Knowledge of the stores Mission. *Physical Requirements* Position requires frequent standing and walking around the store for extended periods while organizing and sorting merchandise and interacting with customers. Must have the ability to lift 50+ pounds on a regular basis.
