CNC Machinist - EDM (1st Shift)

Core Responsibilities:Ability to accurately read blue printsAbility to set up and locate parts per instructionsAbility to hold required high precision tolerancesAbility to troubleshoot errors and variable conditionsConduct all proper maintenance required for the EDM machinesFollow shop safety rules at all timesAbility to schedule jobs to achieve the maximum unmanned machine hoursStrong interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate well with a positive attitudeEnsures conformance to specifications utilizing CMM, height gauges, micrometers, and other precision measuring devices to adjust tools, to produce drawing specified dimensions and ensure overall quality.Skills:Basic understanding of manufacturing high precision partsBasic understanding of Excel fundamentals and similar programsMust be able to work both independently and on a team.Must demonstrate strong organizational skills with close attention to detail, consistently following established quality and safety standards.Must be knowledgeable in reading and interpreting blueprints and CAD drawings.Skilled in conducting inspections and utilizing precision measuring devices to maintain product quality.Knowledge of proper health and safety measures.Must demonstrate a willingness to learn and grow within the company.Qualifications:2+ years of experience in the injection mold industryInspection experience and able to use precision measuring devices for overall quality.Knowledge of proper Health and Safety measures.Desire to learn and grow within the company.Ability to read and interpret engineering drawingsKnowledge of electrical wiring schematicsGood math skillsUnderstand and practice safe working methodsBasic understanding of toolsBe willing to work to ISO / QS 9000 standards and have a commitment to continuous improvementCapable of performing physical tasks including pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 lbs.Education Requirements:Minimum High School Diploma or GED
