Finance Manager - windsor

faascloud is looking for a Finance Manager to help expand a fast-growing advisory practice that works with a combination of North American businesses across various industries, spanning emerging/high-growth technology clients to enterprising private companies. The successful candidate will be in a client-facing role providing internal and external deliverables to clients as well as to the CEO. The Finance Manager will be an extension to our clients’ teams and requires both strong communication and corporate financial planning skills. What the role entails:Manage a portfolio of clients and provide regular finance and controllership services Perform financial and strategic analyses to support business insights, fundraising and long-term planning Review financial statements and supporting schedules for accuracy, trends, variance analysis, and forecasting purposes Engage with clients to be on top of business updates and ensure key business drivers are understood and reflected in all analyses Complete and review complex month-end tasks and procedures Partner with your client team, which may involve bookkeepers, accountants, or other operational members of the client Create and manage new processes internally and externally for clients Assist with payroll processing, payment processing, regulatory filings, and other day-to-day finance tasks for our clients Update forecasts, budget to actual, and variance analysis on a monthly basis Other ad hoc projects What you bring:Canadian CPA designation 3-5 years of working experience Strong familiarity with cloud accounting platforms, Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets Ability to lead client meetings and think strategically Willingness to investigate issues and problem-solve using professional judgment and accountant/bookkeeping background Foresight to be proactive and complete tasks with minimal oversight Ability to work closely with a small high-performing team Motivated, self-starter with a strong work ethic Ability to manage competing deadlines Experience working in remote and autonomous environments Nice to have:Operational experience as a Senior Accountant, Assistant Controller, Manager or Controller is an asset Knowledge of data tools (i.e. Tableau, Power BI, Looker Studio, etc) or other software platforms (i.e. Salesforce, Hubspot, etc) Experience with Canadian payroll, specifically Ontario and British Columbia What we offer:faascloud offers a flexible, remote and autonomous work environment.
