Fabrication Technician / Maintenance Fabricator Faribault, MN | Contract-to-Hire | $25 - $30hour Monday-Friday | Flexible Start: 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM or 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM We are seeking a hands-on Fabrication Technician with strong welding and metal fabrication skills to support maintenance, repair, and custom equipment projects in an industrial manufacturing environment. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys building, modifying, troubleshooting, and improving equipment while working in a team-oriented shop environment. ResponsibilitiesPerform metal fabrication, welding, and repair work on production equipment and facility componentsSupport plant production through electromechanical maintenance projectsRead and interpret blueprints, drawings, and fabrication sketchesCut, grind, bend, fit, and assemble steel and other materialsUse MIG/TIG/stick welding and fabrication equipment safely and effectivelyModify and rebuild machine guards, carts, conveyors, brackets, fixtures, and structural componentsSupport maintenance projects, equipment installs, and continuous improvement initiativesOperate shop equipment, including grinders, saws, drill presses, torches, and power toolsAssist with mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance as neededMaintain a clean and safe work environment QualificationsStrong fabrication and welding experience in an industrial or manufacturing environmentAbility to fabricate parts and equipment from prints or verbal directionExperience with MIG welding required; TIG and stick welding are a plusComfortable using fabrication and machine shop toolsMechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skillsAbility to work independently and manage multiple projectsExperience with conveyors, motors, hydraulics, or industrial equipment is a plusAble to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a shop environment BenefitsMedical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company contributionPTO and paid holidaysUniforms and tools providedLong-term advancement opportunities within maintenance and operations Be the first to learn about future positions by joining our Newsletter and following us on LinkedIn!
