Controller/Sr. Cost Accountant

We are seeking an experienced, highly self-motivated individual to add to our team in the position of Controller/Sr. Cost Accountant or Sr. Cost Accountant with the opportunity for growth. The open position reports to and works closely with the CFO and is responsible for various accounting, finance and corporate functions within the company. Required Qualifications: · Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business management or equivalent · 5 Years of prior accounting experience · Experience in the construction field · Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook · Experience with Sage and Textura a plus · Understanding of accounting practices, financial reporting and current regulations · Firm grasp of Human Resources functions, employee benefits and compliance issues a plus · Ethical business practices · Well-organized with high attention to accuracy · Proven ability to work well with others · Ability to multitask · Professional demeanor · Excellent communications skills Main Duties include: · Job Cost Accounting – Entering estimates, entering subcontracts/contracts/change orders, processing trade contractor applications, project analysis, billing · Compliance Review – Trade insurance coverages, waivers, sworn statements, notice of furnishings · Handle day to day accounting issues · Manage fixed assets records · Preparation of annual property tax filings · Assistance with month-end closings and financial preparation · Assistance with periodic audits · HR, Payroll, employee benefits and compliance issues support · Assist CFO and Project Management as needed and/or assigned Rohde Construction Company offers competitive compensation packages commensurate with position and relevant experience, health insurance, benefits, 401k program, paid vacation and holidays and bonus.
