Production Operator – Sterling Heights, MichiganIMMEDIATE HIRE - 90 day Contract-to-Hire positions Pay Rate: $16.50 per hourAvailable Shifts1st Shift - 5:45am - 2:00pm Monday-Friday, weekends and OT mandatory as scheduled2nd Shift - 1:45pm - 10:00pm Monday-Friday, weekends and OT mandatory as scheduled3rd Shift - 9:45pm - 6:00am Sunday-Thursday, weekends and OT mandatory as scheduledA Production Operator is responsible for operating machinery, loading/unloading parts, and assembling automotive components (e.g. interior systems such as instrument panels, door panels, etc.) according to standardized work instructions and safety protocols. Key duties include performing quality inspections using gauges, meeting production targets, and maintaining a clean, safe workspace. *Position could require you to work any position within the facility. Key Responsibilities Of The Production OperatorPRODUCTION EXECUTION: Operate manufacturing equipment and assemble, fasten, and fit components according to established SOPsQUALITY CONTROL: Perform in-process checks using hand-held, bend, or final gauges to ensure products meet quality standardsSAFETY & COMPLIANCE: Adhere to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) requirements, including wearing proper PPE and complying with EMS proceduresOPERATIONAL EFFICIENCY: Maintain production speeds, troubleshooting minor equipment issues, and perform routine maintenance or tool changesDOCUMENTATION: Record production data, report issues to team leaders, and maintain a clean, organized work area (5S)Requirements For The Production OperatorEDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED equivalentEXPERIENCE: Previous manufacturing or production experience is often preferredSKILLS: Ability to read and follow work instructions, good manual dexterity, and basic troubleshooting skillsPHYSICAL ABILITY: Ability to lift, bend, and stand for long periodsWork Environment Of The Production OperatorAutomotive manufacturing plant (assembly line)Shifts may include mandatory overtime and weekendsA successful candidate will be subject to a background check and must receive satisfactory results of the same, as a condition of joining the team.By applying for this role, you confirm that all information submitted is accurate and complete.
