Manager, P&C Operations

Manager, P&C Operations We are looking for leader in our P&C Operations to manage our Personal Lines and Commercial Lines service teams. This multi-faceted role will manage the personal lines and commercial lines business units to maintain and improve efficiencies, provide training, and enhance technology utilization vital to client retention. Position Responsibilities: Leadership - management of account managers and account assistants. This includes setting performance expectations, accountability measures, interviewing and hiring. Service – participation in planning and execution of the agency’s service standards. Including management of carrier relations, creation and implementation of value-added resources, and implementation of revenue building strategies like cross selling and account rounding. Technology - assesses the department’s use of technology. This includes facilitating the resources necessary to train staff on the efficient and correct use of technology. Creating workflows that utilize technology to gain efficiencies in order to provide service to our clients. Operations – team collaborator working with executive leadership on staffing needs, market development and service standards. Minimum qualifications: At least five (5) years of P&C agency experience. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. Recent management experience is highly desired. Expertise in MS Office programs and Agency Management Systems. Illinois Property and Casualty insurance license required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Good problem-solving skills. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Ability to multitask. Understanding of Commercial and Personal Lines products and services. Ability to function well in a team environment. Customer focused and able to establish and maintain effective relationships. Attainment or active pursuit of professional designations such as CPCU, ARM, and CIC Salary level depends on experience and qualifications.
