Frontend Engineer

Navii is hiring this role on behalf of Gallop Intelligence, an SF Bay Area startup and an early leader in AI-driven legacy modernization. Fortune 500 companies across several industries choose Gallop to replace their legacy internal IT because it is faster, cheaper, and more modern than anything else on the market. The founders are veterans of Google, Amazon, and Lovable. The platform is live in production with blue-chip customers, and strong demand has the company on an accelerated growth trajectory. This role owns the product experience. The UI is where users see what the AI is doing, how far along it is, and how much to trust it. You would be shaping the product's DNA on the extended founding team, not filling in screens.THE WORK• Own end-to-end UI workflows for human-agent collaboration: define what belongs in the interface, how users understand what is happening, and how they move forward when the system is unsure.• Design and build performant, responsive experiences that feel fast and trustworthy, even when the underlying enterprise environment is complex and constrained.• Architect critical user experiences across the full flow (not just components), partnering closely with the team building the platform underneath.• Ship, measure, and iterate: turn real usage and feedback into concrete UI improvements, with a bias toward reliability over demos.• Work directly with top enterprise customers to understand what works in production for their workflows, security expectations, and operational realities.WHO YOU ARE• You have 5+ years of frontend experience and have shipped production frontend using TypeScript and React, and you can point to the work you owned.• You think in user workflows, not isolated screens: able to map a journey and design the UI to support it.• You care about performance and responsiveness and can explain the tradeoffs you make to keep experiences snappy.• You can move through ambiguity: pick a direction, build the smallest useful thing, and tighten it as you learn.• You have high standards for engineering quality, the kind that shows up in how you structure code, handle edge cases, and keep things maintainable.EVEN BETTER IF• You have built UI for complex systems (admin tools, workflow-heavy products, or enterprise software) where correctness and clarity matter.• You have worked in environments with security or compliance constraints and understand how that affects product and engineering decisions.COMPENSATION AND LOGISTICS• $130K to $200K base plus equity, depending on experience• Sunnyvale, CA, on-site (about 5 days a week, with reasonable flexibility)• Full-timeHOW TO APPLYNo resume, no forms. You start with one ~30-minute conversation with Navii, the hiring team's AI, so the team can learn about you beyond your resume: https://app.heynavii.ai/careers/frontend-engineer-5698a42c
