Senior OpenShift Platform Engineer
Role: Sr. OpenShift Platform Engineer
Location: Remote in the US, EST or CST
Duration: 12 months
Pay rate: $75 - 80/hour
Job summary:
This is a hands-on engineering role responsible for planning and executing those upgrades safely and repeatably, keeping the platform and add-on services on supported versions while minimizing service disruption.
Key responsibilities:
- Execute the Webscale 1.6 platform migration across the cluster fleet using both standard in-service upgrades and blue/green-style upgrades.
- Plan, validate, and perform Kubernetes / OpenShift cluster upgrades while minimizing service disruption.
- Deploy, configure, and support Kubernetes / OpenShift distributions across the fleet.
- Automate upgrade and operational workflows using Bash, Ansible, and Python.
Required skills:
- Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
- OpenShift hands-on experience; Linux system administration skills.
- Automation experience with tools such as Bash, Ansible, and Python.
- Experience deploying, configuring, and supporting various distributions of Kubernetes or OpenShift.
- Working knowledge of the Kubernetes API Server.
- Knowledge of NFS and networking fundamentals. Please send resume ASAP.
