Assistant Manager
Essential Responsibilities:Ensures accurate and timely timecard management for both self and staff.Ensures that all guests feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly, and courteous service.Achieve identified objectives for sales, service, quality, appearance of retail store, and sanitation and cleanliness through training of employees and by creating a positive, productive working environment.Controls cash and other receipts by adhering to cash handling and reconciliation procedures.Prepares all required paperwork, forms, and reports in an organized and timely manner.Upholds dress code standards for both self and staff.Uses provided company tools and processes to document the performance of staff.Is knowledgeable of company policies regarding personnel and administers prompt, fair, and consistent corrective action for violations of company policies, rules, and procedures.Models integrity to staff and treats others with respect.Oversees day-to-day retail operations:Signs customers up for the cake club and explains the benefits.Creates store plan and schedules within labor budget.Resolves customer issues quickly and delivers appropriate solutions to make customers happy.Manages retail inventory variance as well as timely inventory completion.Responsible for cash variance. for both sales and petty cash.Completes all assigned duties within the deadline.Maintains exceptional quality of all productsUtilizes FIFO guidelines to reduce waste.Maintains store cleanliness and appearance.Uses operational tools to ensure completion of opening and closing duties.Ensures compliance with health and safety regulations.Follows appropriate slicing guidelines.Provides meaningful feedback for the DM with suggestions for improvement.Focuses on Company EngagementEngages in monthly promotional goals.Asks questions if something is unclear and seeks out opportunities to learn.Completes all required employee training.Sales Focus and Transaction Growth* Increases sales transactions for both bakery and retail products.* Coaches employees on sales techniques.RequirementHigh school diploma or GEDServSafe Certification within 60 days of hire or promotionPrior retail experience
