This role is essential in ensuring safe, high-quality outcomes for both mothers and newborns.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide direct nursing care to obstetrical patients during labor and deliveryMonitor maternal and fetal well-being and respond to changes in conditionSupport patients and families throughout the childbirth and recovery processCollaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teamsAdminister medications and maintain accurate documentationRespond effectively to high-acuity and emergency situationsPromote a safe, patient-centered care environmentMinimum QualificationsLicensure: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or compact stateCertification:Basic Life Support (CPR) - requiredAdvanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - required within 6 monthsNeonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) - required within 6 monthsExperience: Minimum of one (1) year of Labor & Delivery or relevant nursing experience preferredCore CompetenciesStrong clinical judgment and critical thinking skillsAbility to perform effectively in high-pressure situationsCompassionate, patient-centered approach to careExcellent communication and teamwork abilitiesCommitment to safety, quality, and professionalismEmployment RequirementsCompliance with all hospital policies, including vaccination requirements (approved exemptions considered)Successful completion of a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening (post-offer)BenefitsComprehensive benefits begin the first of the month following employment, in accordance with hospital policy.How to ApplyInterested candidates should submit:Completed applicationResumeCover letterEqual Opportunity EmployerAshe Memorial Hospital is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
