Members and Club staff contribute to our Club spirit of friendly competition, respect for all individuals, and reverence for the heritage and culture of Eastward Ho!.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site position as Executive Sous Chef located in Chatham, MA. The Executive Sous Chef will support the Executive Chef in managing daily culinary operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and ensuring high-quality standards. Responsibilities also include managing kitchen staff, supervising food safety and hygiene compliance, and maintaining food cost control. Additional tasks involve training team members, assisting with catered events, and collaborating with the Executive Chef to innovate and refine the culinary experience for Members and guests.QualificationsProficiency in food preparation techniques, menu planning, and execution of fine and casual dining offeringsStrong leadership experience, including staff training, team coordination, and performance managementKnowledge of food safety regulations, hygiene standards, and kitchen equipment maintenanceAbility to manage food cost control, inventory processes, and vendor relationships effectivelyExcellent organizational skills, creativity in recipe innovation, and attention to detailStrong communication and problem-solving skills to foster teamwork and resolve challengesMinimum 3-5 years of professional culinary leadership experience, preferably in a private club or fine dining settingCulinary degree or equivalent professional training is highly preferredAvailability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and eventsExperienceMinimum of 3 years of formal culinary experience in food service management at a high-endclub or resort, hotel kitchen or fine-dining restaurant or a similar position in a high-end, highvolume service environment.
