About the Role: As a Project Engineer, you will support the project manager and team with documentation and control, job cost accounting, scheduling, and construction supervision efforts. Success in this role requires handling various tasks, prioritizing them effectively, and working well under pressure. Key Responsibilities: Assist with on-site management to ensure project success Ensure project plans progress to meet anticipated deadlines Manage the RFI (Request for Information) and submittal process Process owner billings and project-related accounting issues Maintain daily logs, reports, submittals, sub lists, subcontracts, schedules, change orders, insurance, material procurement, logistics, as-builts, and closeout procedures Demonstrate detail-oriented and organized teamwork in high-pressure situations Position Requirements: A combination of education and experience in a relevant field (e.g., Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent practical experience) Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction or engineering Strong understanding of plans and schematics Practical written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong organizational and time management skills Previous experience in retail/commercial construction projects Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook; working knowledge of Prolog and MS Project is a plus Why Join Deacon Construction?
