Shape the financial architecture of one of the nation's most established affordable housing developers — overseeing a complex, multi-entity portfolio with deep community impact.The opportunity:This is a senior leadership role for a finance professional who thrives at the intersection of complex real estate transactions and organizational impact. You'll oversee the full financial operations for a nonprofit developer with an integrated platform spanning development, construction, and property management — all focused on creating and preserving affordable housing across multiple markets.You'll lead three finance teams, work directly with lenders, LIHTC investors, and public funding partners, and serve as the organization's most senior finance voice alongside executive leadership.What you'll own:Portfolio financial oversightFinancial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting across partnerships, LLCs, and corporate entities. Cost-to-complete analysis, variance tracking, and corrective strategy for active projects.Capital, treasury & lender relationsCash flow management, draw processes from lenders and public sources, debt covenant compliance, and banking relationships. Primary financial contact for lenders, investors, and funding partners.Development & construction financePartner with development and construction teams on project budgets, contract reviews, and capital planning. Support financial strategy for acquisitions, rehabs, and new development.Compliance, audit & tax credit executionOversee LIHTC compliance reporting, cost certifications, tax filings, and audit management. Maintain strong internal controls across a complex multi-entity structure.Team leadershipLead and develop finance staff across development, construction, and property management accounting. Build departmental processes and systems to scale with organizational growth.What we're looking for:10+ years in real estate accounting or finance — development, construction, or property management strongly preferredFluency in partnership, LLC, and C Corp accounting and tax reporting under GAAPExperience managing multi-entity financial operations with lender and investor reporting obligationsProven team leadership with the ability to build systems, not just manage themHands-on experience with LIHTC transactions, cost certifications, and affordable housing finance structures a plusBachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA a plus
