Light Duty Truck Mechanic Manager

Application InstructionsApplication Position DescriptionThe Light Duty Truck Manager oversees the daily operations of the light-duty truck service department, ensuring efficient workflow, high-quality repairs, and excellent service. This role manages technicians, coordinates maintenance and repairs, monitors safety and compliance, and supports productivity and cost control. Key Responsibilities:Supervise and support light-duty truck technicians and shop staff Schedule, assign, and prioritize maintenance and repair work Ensure repairs are completed accurately, safely, and on time Monitor vehicle inspections, diagnostics, and quality control Maintain compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and environmental standards Communicate with service advisors, customers, or fleet coordinators regarding repair status Track shop performance, productivity, and turnaround times Manage parts inventory, tools, and equipment needs Assist with technician training, onboarding, and performance evaluations Handle customer concerns or service issues professionally Maintain service records, work orders, and reports Position RequirementsHigh school diploma or GED (required) 3-5 years experience working on light-duty trucks or automotive vehicles 1-2 years experience in a supervisory or leadership role (preferred) Strong knowledge of automotive systems (engine, brakes, suspension, electrical) Ability to read and interpret diagnostic data and repair documentation Valid driver's license Automotive or diesel technology certification or trade school training (preferred) ASE certifications (preferred) Experience managing a fleet or service shop environment Familiarity with shop management or maintenance software Equal Opportunity EmployerEconomy Paving Co, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
