Light Duty Truck Mechanic Manager

Application InstructionsApplicationPosition DescriptionThe Light Duty Truck Manager oversees the daily operations of the light-duty truck service department, ensuring efficient workflow, high-quality repairs, and excellent service. This role manages technicians, coordinates maintenance and repairs, monitors safety and compliance, and supports productivity and cost control.Key Responsibilities:Supervise and support light-duty truck technicians and shop staffSchedule, assign, and prioritize maintenance and repair workEnsure repairs are completed accurately, safely, and on timeMonitor vehicle inspections, diagnostics, and quality controlMaintain compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and environmental standardsCommunicate with service advisors, customers, or fleet coordinators regarding repair statusTrack shop performance, productivity, and turnaround timesManage parts inventory, tools, and equipment needsAssist with technician training, onboarding, and performance evaluationsHandle customer concerns or service issues professionallyMaintain service records, work orders, and reportsPosition RequirementsHigh school diploma or GED (required)3-5 years experience working on light-duty trucks or automotive vehicles1-2 years experience in a supervisory or leadership role (preferred)Strong knowledge of automotive systems (engine, brakes, suspension, electrical)Ability to read and interpret diagnostic data and repair documentationValid driver's licenseAutomotive or diesel technology certification or trade school training (preferred)ASE certifications (preferred)Experience managing a fleet or service shop environmentFamiliarity with shop management or maintenance softwareEqual Opportunity Employer
