The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.Position TypeFull-Time/RegularOne NIH-funded postdoctoral fellow position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Lu Huang in the Department of Virology, Immunology and Microbiology at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine.The Huang laboratory focuses on innate immune responses during Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection, with a particular focus on the immunometabolism of innate immune cells, including macrophages and neutrophils. The lab employs multidisciplinary approaches including immunology, microbiology, cell biology, metabolism, and genomics to address fundamental questions in host-pathogen interactions and innate immune responses in the lung.Required SkillsThe qualified candidate should have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Immunology, Microbiology, Lung Biology, Cell Biology or a related field. The candidate is expected to have extensive experiences in small animal procedures, flow cytometry and immune cell purification and culture. The candidate with solid background in macrophage biology, innate immunity, immunometabolism and experience in working in Biosafety Level 3 laboratory is particularly encouraged to apply.
