As a result, a full-time position is available for a Senior Interior Designer within our Architecture South group. This opportunity is available at either our Dallas, TX or Madison, WI office.Responsibilities IncludeDeveloping unified design concepts by managing the interior design process and document development for federal, airport, and various other projectsCoordinating with multi-disciplinary in-house and sub-consultant team membersResearching, evaluating, and selecting furniture, fixtures and equipment (FF&E), materials and finishesMentoring less experienced interior design staffDeveloping presentations that communicate design intent to clientsOther tasks as assigned.A valid driver’s license and travel (approximately 20%) will be required.The Successful Candidate Must Have The FollowingBachelor's degree (or higher) in interior design, architecture, interior architecture or related field from an accredited college or universityAt least 8 years of relevant interior design experienceNCIDQ certification is required.The ideal candidate will have experience in any/all the following:Developing interiors projects from programming to completionInterior design of aviation and state/federal projectsSeeking LEED or WELL certificationSelecting appropriate materials for aesthetic, cost, durability, and sustainability reasonsDeveloping scope of work/services, fees, and project specificationsMentoring less experienced interior design staffRevit and/or AutoCAD experienceCollaborating and coordinating interior elements with architects and engineers.Experience or familiarity with generative AI-driven tools, platforms, or systems (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) to enhance productivity, automate tasks, and reduce errors.At Mead & Hunt we shape the future by putting people first.
