If you’re mission-driven and ready to make a meaningful impact in our community, we’d love to hear from you.Job DescriptionThe Licensed Therapist & Clinical Supervisor provides trauma-informed clinical therapy to survivors of crime while also supervising clinical interns and supporting the agency’s advocacy services.This role integrates three core responsibilities:70% Clinical Therapy Services20% Clinical Supervision & Program Oversight10% Victim Advocacy ServicesThe position plays a critical role in ensuring high-quality trauma-informed care, maintaining compliance with grant and ethical requirements, and supporting the professional development of interns and staff.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesClinical Therapy (70%)Provide trauma-informed individual counseling to survivors of sexual assault, violent crime, and traumatic loss.Conduct client intakes, assessments, and treatment planning.Provide evidence-based trauma treatment modalities (e.g., EMDR, CBT, TF-CBT, or other trauma-informed approaches).Maintain accurate clinical documentation and case notes consistent with HIPAA, grant compliance (VOCA, STOP, OAG), and agency policies.Facilitate trauma recovery groups when appropriate.Provide crisis counseling and stabilization for clients experiencing acute distress.Coordinate care with advocacy staff and community partners to ensure continuity of services.Monitor client safety and assess risk as clinically indicated.Clinical Supervision & Program Leadership (20%)Provide clinical supervision to Master’s level student interns in counseling, psychology, or social work programs.Conduct weekly individual and/or group supervision sessions.Review and approve intern documentation and treatment plans.Support the development of trauma-informed clinical policies and procedures.Assist leadership in maintaining quality standards of care for clinical services.Participate in file reviews and audits to ensure compliance with state and grant requirements.Support training and professional development of staff and interns.Assist with the development of clinical programming and therapeutic groups.Victim Advocacy & Direct Service (10%)Provide crisis intervention and advocacy services to victims of crime.Assist survivors with safety planning and referrals to community resources.Provide advocacy during forensic exams, court hearings, or other legal processes when needed.Assist clients with applications for Victims of Crime Compensation and relocation assistance.Participate in SART (Sexual Assault Response Team) or SDRT (Sudden Death Response Team) activities as needed.Maintain knowledge of victim rights under Marsy’s Law.Additional ResponsibilitiesParticipate in rotating on-call coverage as required.Provide Manager-on-Duty support when assigned.Assist with community outreach, presentations, and awareness events.Maintain client statistical reports and documentation required by grant funders.Collaborate with community partners including law enforcement, healthcare providers, and social service agencies.Maintain strict client confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and ethical standards.Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.Required Skills & CompetenciesTrauma-informed clinical practiceCrisis intervention skillsKnowledge of victim advocacy and legal systems preferredStrong interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to maintain professional boundaries and ethical standardsExperience working with survivors of trauma and violenceAbility to work effectively in a multidisciplinary teamAdditional RequirementsValid Florida driver’s license and reliable transportationAbility to respond to crisis situations when neededMaintain liability insurance if required by licensureComplete level 2 DCF required background screeningWork EnvironmentWork is performed in an office and community setting providing services to survivors of trauma.
