HVAC Service Technician

Our work environment includes: Growth opportunities Relaxed atmosphere On-the-job training Our HVAC company is seeking a talented HVAC Technician to join our team. We are looking for hardworking, reliable individual. Previous construction experience is a plus but not required, willing to train the right person. Candidate will be assisting customers in finding a comfortable temperature for their home. HVAC technicians must be ready to repair or maintain all heating and cooling systems in a home or office building. Requirements: · Certification or associate’s degree from an HVAC program at a technical school · Proof of required state licensing for HVAC technicians · Special certification through the EPA to handle refrigerants · Possession of High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent · Possession of a valid driver’s license with a good driving record · On Call Service Requirements of a week at a time · On the job experience or training · Strong mechanical aptitude · Excellent problem solving and customer service skills · Self-motivated individual with the will to learn · Ability to work alone or effectively as a team · Working alongside industry partners; electricians, gas fitters, ect. · Ability to operate under severe temperature conditions for long periods of time Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs Responsibilities: · Perform preventative maintenance, install, and repair air conditioning, ventilation, and heating systems · Travel to homes & businesses troubleshooting problems in order to repair or replace the system before the customer is inconvenienced · Conduct performance tests with specialized tools and adjust system settings to keep temperatures comfortable · Discuss various system options with clients and help them determine which option is best for their situation · Sell maintenance contracts to current customers to ensure products last longer · Categorize and organize inventory to limit unnecessary losses to the company · Move to and from each job quickly to maximize your time during the day and ensure that as many customers as possible are helped · Create and maintain cordial and collaborative working relationships with both supervisors and co-workers Provide necessary support to other team members to be able to complete tasks on time and as instructed by management Job Type: Full-time Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Employee assistance program Employee discount Flexible spending account Health insurance Health savings account Life insurance Paid time off Retirement plan Tools provided Tuition reimbursement Vision insurance Schedule: Day shift Monday to Friday Work Location: In person
