DescriptionAs an Assistant Store Manager, a typical day might include the following:Assisting the Store Manager with store operationsCoaching and motivating your team to drive sales that deliver exceptional customer serviceEnsuring high levels of customer satisfaction by being knowledgeable on all products offered, and teaming up with co-workers to provide excellent sales serviceDelivering sales, customer experience, merchandising, visual, and operational expectationsMaking sure that the store is always clean and properly organizedLearning and sharing expertise of products and trends to fit customer's needsMaintaining an awareness of all product knowledge, and current or upcoming product / trendsMaintaining patron satisfaction and builds relationships with preferred patronsGeneral cash handling, reconciling cash drawers and safes, and performing opening and closing duties to company standardFilling in for Store Manager when neededOther duties as assignedRequirementsThis job might be for you if you demonstrate the following abilities and meet the following qualifications:A comprehensive knowledge of sports and/or trading cardsMinimum of two years management/key holder experience in a similar environment is requiredHigh school Diploma/GED desired. College degree preferredAbility to lead and be a part of a successful store teamExcellent organizational, verbal, interpersonal and ability to communicate effectively with guests, team members and managementMust have the ability to meet or exceed sales, guest service standardsMust be comfortable working and speaking with the publicProficient in Microsoft Office products and retail business systemsAbility to work weekends, evenings and holidaysAbility to maneuver around sales floor, stock room, and ability lift/carry up to 30 lbsClear understanding of retail metrics including key performance indicators necessary to drive salesPhysical Demands / Work Environment / Hours:The physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
