As a certified nursing assistant, you’ll be the main caregiver for our patients with varied levels of mobility who require help with daily living activities like going to the restroom, getting dressed, eating regular meals, and changing bedpans. You’ll also need to accurately record patient vitals, monitor changes in behavior or symptoms, and answer call signals and bells to determine patient needs. Compensation$17.50 hourlyResponsibilitiesProvide carefully documented patient information in charts for multiple vital signs including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and blood oxygen level Convey relevant patient data and information to supervising nurse, family members, and other facility staff as neededAttend to the basic care and daily living needs of patients including going to the restroom, bathing, eating daily meals, taking proper medication dosages, and getting dressedMaintain clean and sanitary patient rooms by rotating sheets, changing bedpans, and performing general room upkeepAssist patients with regular exercise as needed to maintain physical health and mobility levelQualificationsExceptional communication skills in working with patients and families to maintain positive relationshipsBe able to use computer database and software programs to accurately record patient historyJob seekers must possess a high school diploma or equivalent such as GEDThe ability to administer catheters and enemas is desired, but not requiredNeeds strong physical stamina to reposition and lift patients from beds to examination tables or wheelchairs and move medical equipmentCandidates must have CNA, DCA, or PCA certification from a state-approved training programAbout CompanyStuarts Draft Retirement Community is a locally owned and operated senior living community in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley.
