This position provides individualized planning and counseling services aligned with Ohio Revised Code (ORC 3313.603 and ORC 3313.618),which require school counselors to guide students in developing Individual Graduation Plans (IGPs) that align with their career aspirations, academic strengths, and workforce pathways.The counselor also collaborates with district leadership and buildings to foster a positive school climate, promote student well-being and provide preventative and responsive services toaddress student needs. The Counselor plays a key role in efforts to enhance College, Career, Workforce and Military Readiness metrics and to ensure students are equipped with the necessaryresources, opportunities and support to transition successfully into post-secondary options.Qualifications: Master's Degree in School Counseling or a related field.Valid Ohio School Counselor License as required by the Ohio Department of Education (ODE).Minimum of three (3) years of counseling experience in grades 7-12 preferred.Valid driver's license or state IDWorking Conditions: 7.75 hours per day, 184 days per school year calendar.Application Procedure: Applicants should submit an online application through the Lakota Local School District's Frontline Recruiting & Hiring system.
