Job Summary Organization Background: Floretta P. Carson Visual and Performing Arts Academy (FPCVPAA), a public charter school located in the heart of Mobile, AL provides a seven- year comprehensive academic and conservatory arts program to students in grades 6-12. Established in 2023, FPC VPAA is one of the premier arts schools in Alabama, where aspiring young artists have the opportunity to refine their skills and flourish in one of 16 pre-professional arts conservatories. FPC VPAA serves a culturally diverse student body across Mobile and surrounding areas. Based on the belief that creative artistry is fueled by intellectual insight, FPC VPAA provides a rigorous college-preparatory academic program that produces high-achieving, motivated scholars. Job Description: A Registered Behavior Technician/RBT serving children grades 6 -12 with a Behavioral/autism spectrum disorder. RBTs will collaborate with the Behavior Analyst to keep materials and programs current in an EIBI program. The RBT will also assist in data-based decision-making, programming for the generality of skills, parent training, behavior assessment, and social skills training. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Responsible for the primary case student’s schedule being followed, treatment plans implemented, and other learning activities conducted. Ensuring all required documentation is completed at the end of the school day. Incorporates feedback from the Behavior Analyst into performance. Accurately completes data collection daily and maintains curriculum-specific documentation for primary case students. Regularly communicates with the Behavior Analyst to understand all goals and objectives for the program. Qualifications Minimum of 18 years of age. Bachelor’s Degree is required. Registered Behavior Technician Certification is required. Valid Alabama driver’s license Pass a background check.
